Whitman Drake

Lead Vocalist

Singer / Guitarist / BMI Accredited Songwriter. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana Native Was Born September 9th,1992 in South Houston, Texas & Raised in Southeast, Texas. By age 6, Whitman had taught himself how to play guitar, & started singing at age 12. In 2008 By Age 15 Whitman, while staying a short stint in Zachary, Louisiana He started attending open mic nights and playing juke joints in the Baton Rouge Area. Ultimately bringing his fueled passion back to Southeast, Texas. By 2009 Age 16, He continued playing open mic nights in Kemah, Texas. (Coffee Oasis) aka (Volcano Room), He was Interviewed by Zach Tate for (After Hours Magazine ),The Local Music / Entertainment Magazine. This caught the attention of Houston Music Scene Legend Giovanni Capelo. From the ages of 17 to 25, Whitman Cut his teeth in the Houston Cover Scene. Developing his raw, and soulful sound. As well as Writing & Recording His own music. After a 6 Year Hiatus, he is running it back in 2025!


Rooster

Bassist

Born and raised in the heart of one of Houston's original neighborhoods, 2nd Ward. Rooster was inspired to hit the stage at an early age, as he was surrounded by musicians not only in his own family but families throughout the neighborhood. His father, although not a musician himself, played a vital role in influencing him to becoming the musician he is today. Introducing him to everything from the delta blues to classic rock and everything in between, Rooster inevitably was destined to grace the stage as his predecessors did before him. Cutting his teeth with his cousins at the age of 14 playing at family functions and later various small bars and clubs around the city. Through networking over the years, he would be introduced and play alongside some of the most talented musicians this city has to offer. Eventually giving him the opportunity to tour the states and live out his childhood dream. Now, as a seasoned vet throughout the musical community, his unwavering passion to perform live is stronger than ever and is completely humbled to be able to continue his musical journey with some of the best! 

Elias Barron

Drummer

Born and raised on the East Side of Houston, Elias “Red Barron III” Barron was destined for the stage. With music in his blood and a family legacy to carry on, Eli was surrounded by live bands and jam sessions from day one. Inspired by his father and gifted with "The Touch," as a child he quickly picked up piano, guitar, and bass before locking into his true calling—behind the drum kit.

With over 13 years in the Houston cover scene and a resume that spans across Texas and Tennessee, Eli’s versatility and stage presence have made him a go-to talent for professional bands across the South. Whether he's laying down the rhythm, holding down harmonies, or jumping in on bass, Eli delivers the energy and edge that Dead Radio thrives on.

From dive bars to major venues - he’s not just part of the show. He is the show’s heartbeat.
